A Look Back on My WordPress Journey

It all started with a simple blog post. I had no idea what WordPress was, but I knew I wanted to start a blog. So, I Googled “how to start a blog” and the first result was a WordPress.com tutorial. That led me to my first ever WordPress site: rdtimeblogging.wordpress.com. It wasn’t much, just a few posts about my life as an expat in China, but it was a start.

Eventually, I decided I wanted more control over my site and made the switch to self-hosted WordPress.org. That’s when things started to get really interesting. I began tinkering with themes and plugins and customizing my site to make it look just the way I wanted it. And then I discovered the world of code…

Long story short, flash forward several years later and here I am: a happy WordPress user with my own successful business built on the platform. If you had told me back when I started that this is where I would end up, I never would have believed you. But here we are – proof that sometimes good things come to those who wait (and tinker around with WordPress)!
